Information we collect

• Email addresses submitted to the early-access waitlist.
• Question feedback, including helpful or not helpful selections and an optional feedback type.
• Anonymous product events such as topic and question views, opening a hint or solution, moving to another question, joining early access, submitting feedback, starting or completing the A.1 diagnostic, recording a three-level diagnostic self-rating, viewing a knowledge card and opening targeted practice.

The website does not currently create a student account or profile.

Diagnostic progress on this device

The A.1 diagnostic stores its progress and most recent result in your browser's localStorage so that you can leave and continue on the same device. This includes the current question, which questions have been attempted or revealed, and the Not yet, Partly or Secure rating chosen for each question pattern. You can restart the diagnostic or clear this on-device data from the diagnostic page.

Physics Insight does not save the text of your answer. Diagnostic progress is not connected to an account or student profile and is not synchronized between devices.

Anonymous usage analytics

We use first-party analytics to understand whether people reach a question, use its hint or solution, continue practising, or send feedback. A random session identifier is stored in sessionStorage. It is limited to the current browser-tab session and is replaced on a new day. A session is not treated as a unique person, and we do not use it to identify returning users across days or devices.

For traffic sources, we store only the referring website hostname. We do not store IP addresses, full user-agent strings, full referring URLs, email addresses, answer content, or private question-bank fields in analytics events. Diagnostic analytics may include the question pattern and the selected three-level rating, but not an answer. Analytics does not use a cross-site tracking cookie.

How we use this information

Waitlist emails are used to contact people about early access and product updates. Question feedback is used to understand and improve the product. Anonymous usage events are used to evaluate and improve the learning experience.

We do not sell personal data.

Storage

Physics Insight uses Supabase as infrastructure for storing waitlist and feedback submissions, anonymous analytics events and aggregate usage counts. Raw analytics events are subject to a 90-day retention limit. Aggregate counts that do not identify a person or browser session may be retained for longer so that product trends can be compared over time.

Deletion requests

You may request deletion of your information. Until a dedicated contact address is published, you can make this request by replying to any early-access or product-update email you receive.
